All records
of the City, proceedings of the Council, books, documents, records, contracts,
receipts, and papers relating to the affairs of the city, unless required by law to be
kept elsewhere, are deposited and kept in the office of the Clerk. Most records have been
indexed for ease of locating back to 1980. Among the permanent records are minutes of City
Council meetings from the 1800s to the present and other historical information.
Open records requests must be received in writing by the Office
of the City Clerk.
