To ensure the health, safety and welfare of the community, the police department has an Animal Control Officer. The primary emphasis of the animal control officer is the enforcement of City Ordinances relating to rabies inoculations and leash laws. The animal control officer is also responsible for addressing problems with non-domesticated animals (i.e. snakes, etc.) that are considered a threat or nuisance.
