Although several Finance Department employees are responsible for timely collection of receivables, we have staff that is dedicated to collections.  

Accounting Specialist:  The City employs one person who is dedicated to collection activities across all receivable functions. Duties include initiating legal action, holding public sales for non-payment of taxes, door to door visits, and collection correspondence.

Revenue Collector:  The City employs one person who is dedicated to collection of past due utilities and other receivables for the Utility Departments.  Duties include but are not limitied to processing and referring accounts to outside agencies for collection, internal collections, and contacting credit agencies where applicable.
